Immersive Attachment

Oculus Quest 2 is a virtual reality headset used for completely immersed digital environments with scenes and objects that appear to be real.

VR

Microsoft Hololens 2 is an augmented reality headset used for interactive experiences that combines the real world and digital content.

Research

We are researching:

the difference in attachment to digital objects between VR and AR.

as virtual and augmented reality devices will replace our phones and computers during the next decade.

why 'attachment' to 'digital objects'?

to determine the effectiveness of marketing experiences using AR vs VR, we measured the attachment degree of 160 participants, for digital objects across 4 levels of complexity.

Design

We've designed:

a fantasy world conceptualized to function as a playground.

distinct themes reflect an extensive spectrum of interests and perspectives (Bar, Observatory, Balloon, Resort).

play one of the avatars inspired from the core personality archetypes by Carl Jung. (Ruler, Mage, Sage, Jester).

we crafted the 3D assets using Blender and Photoshop. The soundscape is made with Cubase.

Development

We've developed:

using Unity as a game engine combined with Microsoft MRTK and Oculus Integration.

the programming language is C#, while the code writing is done in Visual Studio Code.

for an realistic and immersive experience, we use physics-based interactions, collision-detection and lighting effects.

high refresh rate, hand and head tracking are installed to avoid motion sickness.

Excited for immersive experiences?

Immersive technologies grow to transform the way we interact with digital objects into more natural and intuitive experiences. XR is capable of creating disruptive solutions, blurring the line between physical and digital.

We challenge you to find how to integrate augmented and virtual reality into your customer experience with digital objects.
